The Service

  • Review and assess the suitability of electrical drawings and documentation.
  • Inform of any deviation from drawings, written documentation or delay that may occur or is starting to conflict with the programme and monitor the progress.
  • Monitor the quality of the installation during construction to regulatory requirements, contractual specifications and industry best practice
  • Monitor and assess the electrical systems commissioning and certification through verification and witness testing.
  • Verify the safety file and maintenance files for handover of your project
  • Provide specialist services such as investigation reports and site risk assessments

The Role

Liaise with the client, design teams, project/construction manager, contractors and subcontractors to ensure that information received on site complies with the contract. Liaise with managers and sub-contractors during project execution.

Ensures your project complies with all applicable statutory, legal and client requirements, industry regulations and policies, and be involved in the review of construction safety plans.

Ensure that all site construction methods and procedures are safe and adequate in all respects.

Inputs to plans both for construction and commissioning phases and ensure that all activities proceed in accordance with agreed plans.

Prepare and submit progress and defect reports.

Liaise as necessary on matters of quality, progress and safety with the client’s representatives.

Monitors contractors’ and subcontractors’ compliance with their own project quality plan and programmes.

Ensures that the work is accepted by the client’s representatives and assist, as necessary, with the contractor successfully commissioning and handing over the project.

Ensure the contractor’s contractual responsibilities for plant construction in the field are properly and efficiently discharged.

Ensure the contractor’s construction methods, procedures and practices are properly complied with in all respects, particularly those relating to quality assurance, safety, personnel and industrial relations.

Ensure the contractor’s policies comply with the client’s and are properly adhered to in their area of responsibility, and that changes or additions to such policies are communicated to their staff, including subcontractors, and correctly implemented.

Ensure projects are constructed to drawing, applicable specification standards and good construction practices.

Ensure contractors and all personnel working on or visiting the site comply with security and health and safety policies.

Ensure relevant industry regulations and policies are followed.

Coordinate and negotiate with client’s and contractors’ construction representatives in accordance with contract requirements.
